ABOUT US

Formed in 1956, Cranford Baseball & Softball League (CBSL) offers spring, summer and fall baseball and softball to the youth of Cranford, New Jersey. Players ranging from five to 15 enjoy the opportunity to compete with others in their age group to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop their skills and grow as young people in an environment that champions fair play, fun and teamwork.

Each team is managed and coached by non-paid, volunteers with games played according to standard baseball and softball rules as determined by umpires. All volunteers are subject to safety training and background checks. We are a non-profit, tax exempt organization and depend on the generous support of our local sponsors to continue serving the youth of Cranford and their families.

GET IN THE GAME

We invite everyone to watch CBSL games at both our Memorial Field (baseball) and Adams Avenue (softball) complexes. If you would like to volunteer in any capacity, contact us. We are always looking for new people to get involved in the league. You are welcome to attend our league meeting which is held the second Wednesday of the month at the Cranford Community Center (220 Walnut Ave).

We acknowledge the cooperation of the Cranford Township Committee and the Cranford Board of Education in making the playing fields available for the successful operation of CBSL. The players and league members extend their sincere thanks for this assistance, as well as to the many CBSL sponsors for their continued support, without which it would not be possible to play ball.
